The rainstorm poured down on the night of Cathy's memorial,

March 9, 2024.

LUMINARIA

sprouted across curbs and sidewalks,

flickering in the downpour.

Soft flames flicker, gentle light

A tribute to Cathy’s flight.

Each candle holds a memory dear

A moment shared, a laugh, a tear,

Her spirit woven in the flame

A light that will forever remain.

Through every path she chose to walk

she was our rock.

Her kindness blossomed,

Now in the dark, the lights arise

Mirroring starry skies.

Her laughter lingers

Her warmth still fills the spaces there.

Each light a story, pure and bright

Guiding us through darkest night.

The luminarias softly lit

A memorial of love and wit.

We gathered then, with hearts aligned

To honor all she left behind.

The evening hums with whispers low

Of love, of life, and all we know

These glowing lights

a quiet prayer,

To show that Cathy’s always there.
